Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk AS is a traditional Norwegian family owned wool spinning mill founded in 1898. It has been in the same family for four generations, and some of the machines that are being used are over 100 years old. Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk is a newly certified Economusée, one of ten Economusées in Norway today.

Sol is a DK weight lambs’ wool spun exclusively in the finest Norwegian lambswool fleece (28 microns). Farm to Cable Yarns carries the undyed Sol which combines well with Hillesvåg's Tinde, adding a white option which is useful for colour work. Of course Sol can also be used alone for beautiful garments or accessories
