T A Ï G A
Taïga is the worsted weight Dorset sheep base from bleu poussière. From Shani of bleu poussière: "Taiga is the name given to the boreal forests of the subartic regions where one can observe a phenomenon of dancing colors in the sky that always enchanted me, the aurora borealis also known as the Northern Lights."
The yarn is created from a selection of the softest parts of a Dorset sheep flock in Kamouraska (Quebec) and is woolen spun in the Province of New-Brunswick. Taïga is a of a light rusticity and yet next to the skin soft. This wooly wool will keep you in touch with nature as its intrinsic qualities make it water repellent and thus perfect for wool items destined for a journey outdoors.
Taiga is naturally dyed by Shani of bleu poussière. The dye matter used is indicated in parenthesis in the colourway name.
As with any hand dyed yarn, we suggest you purchase enough for your project.
