Shipping and Refunds


We are a Canadian shop and all prices on the website are shown in Canadian dollars. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express and PayPal through Shopify payments.  Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information on Shopify.



Canada Post is currently experiencing a delay in mail service due to rotating strikes.  We will continue to ship orders placed, UNLESS you contact us and advise us that you want your order held during the strike (please note that we cannot guarantee timely delivery once the package is left with Canada Post).   If you are in a rush for your order please contact us about an alternative solution

Farm to Cable Yarns ships all orders using Canada Post. 

Within Canada : Flat Rate orders are shipped using Canada Post's Expedited Parcel service which includes tracking.  If you wish for us to ship via Xpresspost Parcel services please contact us.  We offer FREE SHIPPING (Canada Post Expedited Parcel) for orders within Canada total $150 or more before taxes.

Continental United States: Orders to the continental US which are less than 1 kilogram are shipped using Canada Post's Tracked Packet (trackable, not insured) or Small Packet Air (neither trackable nor insured).  Orders to the continental US which are more than 1 kilogram are shipped using Canada Post's Expedited Parcel Service.   If you do wish to pay extra for tracking/insurance please leave a note when checking out or Contact Us and we can add the cost to your order.    We offer FREE SHIPPING (Canada Post Small Packet - Air) for orders to the Continental U.S. which total $150 or more before taxes.

International (other than Continental US):  International Orders which are less than 2 kilograms are shipped using Canada Post's Small Packet (Air) service and are neither trackable nor insured.  If you do wish to pay extra for tracking/insurance please, please leave a note when checking out or Contact Us and we can add the cost to your order.  

We are not responsible for orders which do not have tracking and which may become lost by the postal service.  

Shipping costs are calculated at check out and reflect the actual cost of shipping the items to your address based on the weight (actual or volumetric, as applicable) and destination. There is a small surcharge added automatically to cover the cost of shipping materials and handling.    To determine shipping costs for your order, please place the items you wish to order in your cart and create an order until the shipping information is disclosed.  You may then proceed with your order, or discontinue shopping with no charge to you.

All customers outside of Canada are responsible for any additional customs or duties in your own country.

We aim to ship your order within 2-3 business days of it being placed.  We will include the tracking number (where applicable) in an email to you confirming that your package has been shipped.  Holidays or inclement weather may slightly delay shipping times, and we will notify you by email as soon as possible if this is the case.

While we do love beautiful packaging, we also want to minimize our environmental footprint and therefore we avoid unnecessary packaging, while still ensuring that your woolly goodies are well protected.  Where possible Farm to Cable Yarns uses eco-friendly packaging made primarily from recycled materials.


All sales through this website are final.  However unused and unwound yarn in its original condition and in its original packaging may be returned within thirty (30) days after the original purchase date.  All permitted refunds will be in the form of a credit to the original card/method used for payment.  The credit will be posted once we have confirmed that the returned item is in returnable condition and we have notified you of such by email.     

Please do not return any products to the makers.  All returns must be mailed via Canada Post, with a tracking number, at the customer's cost, to us at the following address:
