Pom Pom Quarterly - Winter 2017 (Issue 23)
Darker nights mean knitted delights! Combat those grey skies with the warming glow that only beautiful yarn can bring. Pom Pom Quarterly's Winter 2017 issue embraces vivid colours this winter; bright jewel-toned violets of agate and raw opal, hot corals, pearly blues and lovely neon pops.
The designers in this issue have taken their inspiration from gems, geological forms, and geometric shapes, created a set of designs with a strong graphic feel including a colourwork yoke sweater (Orianna), two-colour brioche (Cobaltoan), stripes, and slipped stitches (Stellate). This issue features designd by Amy Christoffers, Andrea Mowry, Astrid Troland, Debra Gerhard, Emily Greene, Maja Moller, Lesley Anne Robinson, Julie Dubreux, Paula Pereira and Tatyana Scotce.
Regular columnist Anna Maltz reflects on the process of learning and re-learning from our knits (and features an illustration by Aleks Byrd - who also designed the Farm to Cable Yarns logo!). Francesca Baldry covers the hot button topic of buttons.
